Hello everyone,

we are about to start building our new house and have chosen a local construction company. Today, by chance, we visited a shell construction site by this company (in a larger new development area). In our rather inexperienced eyes, the workmanship there did not seem as neat as in another shell construction site we also saw in the same development.

Is it acceptable for a wall, for example, to be built without staggered bricks/blocks? Is what we saw still within normal standards? We are just a bit unsure.

Thank you for your expert opinion and best regards, Christine

We have already discussed hiring a building surveyor, which is definitely a useful addition.
and inform the construction company beforehand as well,
with us, every construction worker knew that inspections would take place.
During the inspections, the site manager or foreman was present whenever possible, and they complemented each other professionally. The building savings contract representative, who also acted as a damage assessor, had very thorough knowledge.
