Hello everyone,
some changes need to be made in our garden. We were thinking about adding a small garden pond. Are there any special requirements that need to be met? What should be considered? Based on your experience, which plants are particularly well suited? Do you also keep fish in your ponds?
I would really appreciate your tips. Thank you all!
Jack 🙂

It’s good that you’re asking, because many people think that digging a hole, putting in a liner and water is the entire process. That’s not entirely wrong, but you should definitely consider in advance what you want to do with the pond. A pond where fish are supposed to survive later requires different conditions than a simple "water hole," possibly with a water feature. What exactly are you planning? And do you already have an idea of how large the garden pond should be? 😉

Hello Rufus,
I don’t have very specific ideas yet. The size should be around 2.5 to 3 meters in diameter (8 to 10 feet). Fish can be included but are not necessary. I would like it if there were plenty of interesting plants inside and around it. Do you perhaps have a good idea for me?

Hello Rufus,
I'm also interested in the topic of garden ponds. Do you happen to know what I need to consider to ensure that fish can thrive in it? I would definitely like to have fish in my future pond. Can you recommend any specific plants? Do you have a garden pond yourself? Thanks for your support!
