ᐅ Cost / Benefit of Using Rainwater in the Household

Is it worth using rainwater for toilet flushing and laundry? When I calculate how much water I use for both per year and how much it costs to install a corresponding rainwater harvesting system, it seems to make sense only from an environmental perspective. Or am I missing something?
