Hello,
I am planning to tile and plaster my guest bathroom. Currently, the walls are covered with moisture-resistant drywall panels and have been skim-coated, and the floor is covered with 25mm OSB (1 inch) boards.
The areas to be tiled I want to prime and seal completely with a latex waterproofing membrane, and in the corners, I plan to use sealing tape, covering the shower area, toilet, washbasin, floor, and floor-to-wall joint. I will then install the tiles using flexible adhesive.
Regarding the materials, I am considering Lugato products (Best Basis, Shower Waterproofing, Sealing Tape, Flexible Adhesive).
- Is this the correct professional approach? Do experts typically proceed this way?
- Other manufacturers offer sealing collars and preformed corner seals. Are these necessary since Lugato does not provide such items?
- Would you recommend Lugato products, or should I consider other brands?
Best regards,
Terje
