We will be moving into our own house at the end of the year. It will have a mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery, but the question is whether we should choose an enthalpy exchanger or a standard heat exchanger. For the cold season, I would prefer a model that recovers moisture, but I’m concerned that such a system might prevent the initial construction moisture from drying out of the building. What do you think?

Whether construction moisture causes problems in connection with an enthalpy heat exchanger can only be determined if you know how humid the indoor air will ultimately be. For example, if the house is finished with dry construction methods, there will hardly be any construction moisture present. Unfortunately, I have no experience with enthalpy heat exchangers.
