Hello,
today we received the results of the soil investigation.
I see two values: 1.15 - 0.45 m (3.8 - 1.5 ft) and the note stating a minimum proof of frost resistance of 1 m (3.3 ft). Does this mean that at least one meter will be excavated, or is only the bearing layer scraped off, i.e. one corner is 1.15 m (3.8 ft) deep, otherwise only up to 0.45 m (1.5 ft)? Or are these completely different values?
Note: S2 is a building corner
Thank you
P.S. Sorry for the quality, the forum did not accept the large PDF

One thing is not directly related to the other. The fill layer, which is between 1.15 and 0.45 meters (3.8 and 1.5 feet) thick, must be removed – it is not suitable for foundation support.
Regardless, in your case, the ground must be frost-protected to a depth of 1 meter (3.3 feet). There are various options for this, which the project planner can explain to you.
