Hello,

we are currently building a single-family house. The wastewater sewer is located on the neighboring property (access road), for which there is an easement. The neighboring houses have already been completed, are occupied, and have their pipes connected to the sewer. They share joint ownership of the access road.
Do we now need to ask the others for permission to connect our pipe to the sewer, or are we allowed to do it without their approval?
Thanks for your answers!!

The question is: Who owns the sewer line in the access road? The wastewater treatment plant? In that case, they will tell you if you are allowed to work there afterwards, or they will commission the responsible company to do it for you, as usually one company is awarded the contract for the entire network.
If the sewer line is private, then you need to ask the owners (the other residents), but to my knowledge, the wastewater treatment plant still has to approve it first.
