ᐅ Connecting a Built-in Dishwasher in an Ikea Metod Kitchen

Hello,

I am currently installing my new METOD kitchen. It includes a Välgjord dishwasher. Before permanently installing it, I wanted to test if it works. I plugged in the power cable and pressed the power button. You can hear a faint click, but the display does not turn on. Is this normal? Could it be a safety feature? Or might it be broken? Has anyone else installed one before?

By the way, the outlet is working.

There was water in the bottom of the box. So it’s possible that the delivery company did not transport it upright.

Thanks for any quick advice. Unfortunately, Electrolux customer service is not open on Saturdays.

Hello, I would simply connect it to the water supply and give it a try.

If it is not yet permanently installed, you can still access the power button when it is closed. However, the display only turns on when the device door is open.
