Two years ago, we chose Velux roof windows, and every time it gets colder outside, a lot of condensation forms on the inside of the windows. On frosty days, there are even frost patterns! During the day, the moisture then drips onto the wooden floor, which is already showing damage.

MODERATOR19 Jul 2012 22:53The windows are probably fine; the humidity in the attic space seems to be quite high. What could be causing this? Many plants, frequent use of the bathroom/shower, or infrequent ventilation?
The relatively warm, moist air condenses on the cooler window panes. This appears to be the building physics issue that needs to be addressed.
