Hello!
I recently saw a report about coconut coir and was impressed. It seems like a real alternative to potting soil, if I understood correctly. My wife would also be able to carry it without any problems.
Now, I would like to hear from you first: does anyone have experience with it and can share some insights? Is it really better than potting soil? Where do you use it?
Hopefully, someone can give me some advice!
Best regards,
todde

unser Haus10 Sep 2012 12:34Hello todde, so far I have only used the blocks. An old bucket, add water (about 4 liters (1 gallon), I always use slightly warm water to speed up the process), put the block in, and wait. It’s better to use a little less water than too much! You can tell when the soil is "ready," and then you can get started. I don’t think there are any differences, just in the shape!
