Hello everyone
Due to the current temperatures, we are considering purchasing a split air conditioning system to serve 2 or 3 rooms.
- Can anyone recommend a device or company (Zurich area) with good experience?
- Are there any specific things to watch out for?
Even though it is very hot right now 😱
I don’t want to rush and would appreciate any tips and recommendations.
Sunny regards
Thomas

Still, they are nice... we have a small portable air conditioner with cooling packs... those things are already quite loud.
In any case, I would definitely pay attention to the power consumption and noise level (there should be specifications for that) as well as the installation method. You can't just keep tearing open the masonry.

Yes, they can be quite power-hungry and noisy.
We are willing to invest a bit more to choose the better devices among the available options. Also ready to spend "a bit" more since the property is owned and permanent installation is not an issue.
So
- Permanent installation
- 3 rooms to be air-conditioned
- Preferably the quieter, energy-efficient units.
... are grateful for any further tips, advice, or experience reports.
