nicobischof19 Jul 2008 19:28Hello,
I wanted to ask if I can simply install new tiles over the existing floor tiles in my bathroom, or if I first need to remove the old tiles before laying the new ones.
Thank you very much!
Nico

Yes, it is possible to glue new tiles over old ones. For this, a suitable tile adhesive is used. However, it is very important that the old tiles are clean and free of dirt before starting the work. If the old tiles are loose in any way, adhesion cannot be guaranteed.

Hello nicobischof,
If I were you, I would check how the height works out if you want to tile over it. Are the tiles still in good condition? If yes, then you can probably tile over them. There is a special primer for the tiles, which ensures that the tile adhesive will properly bond to the old tiles.
