Hello,
in the bathroom alcove (originally intended for the washing machine) I want to place a cabinet with a door for my 3 laundry baskets instead. It should be sturdy and no taller than 160cm (63 inches), 60cm (24 inches) wide, and up to 60cm (24 inches) deep.
What are your experiences with Platsa? Is it too unstable when holding full laundry baskets? The Metod refrigerator cabinet has the perfect dimensions, but there is no nice finish for the top of the cabinet. Apparently, only kitchen legs fit underneath it.
Does anyone have a solution or experience with the load-bearing capacity of Platsa? Full laundry baskets can be quite heavy. I would appreciate any ideas. It should be something I can buy finished, though. Unfortunately, I haven’t found anything suitable from other sellers either.
Thank you for your help and effort. Regards, Dani

Not specifically designed for the top, of course, but you can cut it to size. How is the cabinet supposed to be positioned, and what size should it be? Will it stand alone with both sides exposed? I’m assuming 60cm (24 inches) wide?
In that case, you can use the 62x80cm (24x31.5 inches) one and shorten the 80cm (31.5 inches) side. Since it will stand against the wall at the back, the cut edge there doesn’t matter.
The sides will fit if you add a cover panel to each side.
If it’s placed in an alcove or next to other cabinets, you can also shorten the side, so the cut edge won’t matter there either.
