After my gas heating costs in my rental apartment for 2023 were too high, I would like to know if there is anything I can improve on the heating system to reduce the heating expenses. I have taken some photos and kindly ask for an explanation!

What is this device for? Can I still influence anything myself here? What is the purpose of this Danfoss valve and the red ambient thermostat? I always set the ERR between levels 4 and 6 because the room temperature is set to 21°C (70°F) in the Buderus Logamatic RC300 heating program. Can someone give me some tips?

Thanks in advance
