Kira94Hello everyone,
what do you think about a situation where, before signing the contract for a prefabricated house, you are told that the house is manufactured in Germany and shown a highly modern production line (PLC controlled) as a sales argument, but in the end, a house from Poland is delivered to the construction site, albeit mostly made with German materials? Isn’t this considered fraudulent misrepresentation?
Of course, we also know that many companies manufacture abroad (for example, car manufacturers), but this was not openly disclosed to us. Instead, the construction workers—who, by the way, are German—said the house was produced in Poland when delivered. If we had known this in advance, we might not have signed the contract. How should we proceed now? So far, everything is going according to plan regarding the house assembly.
Do we have any chance of compensation or something similar?
What do you think!
Regards,
Kira

I don’t think the place of manufacture is a valid defect criterion. What matters is what is specified in your contract. If it explicitly states "all parts made in Germany" or something similar, then there might be a case. However, you would need to consult a lawyer, and then the question is whether it’s worth pursuing. What was said at some point doesn’t count, only what is written down.
If everything else is fine, what’s the problem?
