Hello,
we have a small area behind the house that we have always neglected until now. There is a concrete path from grandma’s time, running across the lawn. Removing the entire path would be a huge effort, so I’m naturally looking for simpler alternatives. One option would be to cover this path with artificial grass or turf carpet. Visually, it’s certainly not a masterpiece, but better than that gray slab. I’m just wondering what long-term disadvantages this might have and whether this solution will last.
Thanks for your answers

HI!
So, in theory the idea sounds good: turf on concrete! But I also can't imagine that working in practice. When it rains, the moisture will definitely accumulate, the water can’t drain away, and that will certainly have a negative effect on the ready-made turf. 😉
Best regards,
sennor 🙂

Regarding the carpet-like artificial grass, I have now been informed that this is indeed a bad idea. When water accumulates, it inevitably becomes slippery and creates a risk of slipping.
But there is also this other type—the coarse one with plastic bristles... that shouldn't be as slippery, right?
