scooterHello everyone!
We are about to start the construction of our single-family house, where we will install external venetian blinds in the window reveals on the entire ground floor. (maximum width 2.75m (9 feet)).
Our question is whether wind sensors (which are recommended by the manufacturer) are actually required by building regulations or recognized industry standards?
The manufacturer does not provide a warranty for storm damage or for blinds that are not manually retracted. Could this possibly affect insurance coverage as well?
(We are not questioning the usefulness of wind sensors, as we are already aware of that. Our question is solely whether they are a building requirement — so if their installation is standard practice.)
Thanks in advance for your expert opinion!
Best regards, scooter ;-)

We only have 3 external venetian blinds – I will provide a sensor, but will not install it initially. We’ll see how things develop...
