ᐅ Painting acrylic paint on drywall

Hello,

when acrylic sealant is used in drywall construction for the transition between building components, for example in interior corners, is the acrylic joint applied first and then painted/overpainted, or is it painted first, then the acrylic joint applied, and then the joint painted over again?
