Jenni486Hello everyone,
We are planning a KfW 70 house, around 150 m² (1,615 sq ft), with two full floors, and we need an air source heat pump because there is no gas connection available on our street.
So far, we haven't received any offers, as all companies seem to be overloaded.
We do have one offer: just under 39,000 for the air source heat pump, installation of underfloor heating, and complete piping throughout the house.
This seems very expensive to us, as in earlier discussions the estimate was around 30,000. We have a financing appointment tomorrow but no firm figure to base the costs on.
All other offers are still pending.
Is 39,000 a realistic price?
Thanks for sharing your experiences.

cybergnom11 Apr 2018 09:3539,000€ (about $42,000) seems a bit high to me.
We are building a single-family house with 220 sqm (2,370 sq ft) plus a basement in an expensive area (Munich).
Our quotes for an air-source heat pump and underfloor heating ranged between 33,000€ and 35,000€ (about $36,000 to $38,000).
However, as Alex85 already mentioned, it’s hardly possible to compare these directly. As you describe it, the companies can basically pick and choose what they want to include, so of course it’s hard to get a fair offer (take it or leave it).
I would definitely factor in the 39,000€ (about $42,000) for the financing. If it’s cheaper, that’s great; if not, it won’t disrupt your financing plan.

Hello, thanks for your assessments. I just received another quote over 25,000.
That’s a different ballpark...
For comparison:
1. included Junkers
2. Viessmann
Otherwise, the same services.
I’m also thinking to allow for 30,000, so we possibly have a buffer.
Thanks to you all 🙂
