Hello,
I’m new here and first of all, I want to say that I have already read many informative posts.
Really great forum!
We are planning to build a shell home.
One very important question I want to ask first:
How do you handle the acceptance of owner-performed work?
We would like to include electrical work, underfloor heating/plumbing as owner-performed work that requires official acceptance.
Now, this owner-performed work must be inspected and approved by an independent certified contractor.
Are there any problems with this?
Do companies resist approving work that they did not perform themselves?
Best regards
laley

But the people doing the self-performed work in these areas are not all electricians or plumbers, right?
I think that someone with good practical skills and interest can carry out the interior work following instructions and with the help of the site manager.
I will ask in the next few weeks whether I can find a company to take care of this for me.
Just call a few companies.
