Hello, our gas condensing boiler (Vaillant) has been running the screed heating program for 4 days now. You can gradually feel some warmth, but only in one room.
At the heating manifold downstairs, only the first pipe loop, which leads to the guest bathroom, is warming up, and that’s also the only place where you can feel the underfloor heating. The other loops are cold, and upstairs they are all completely cold.

Does the heating system / program gradually activate all the loops, or is there an issue with the program?

Thank you very much for your answers...

We had the same issue. It turned out that the installer had forgotten to open the valves for the other heating circuits. It was a matter of just one minute.

I was thinking the same... can I turn it on by myself or does the installer have to do it?

You can turn it on by yourself. However, I would still recommend doing it only in consultation with the installer, as they might have had a reason for leaving the remaining loops closed.

If not, I would feel more comfortable if the heating engineer is also aware that a mistake was made. This is especially important regarding potential warranty claims, in case any issues arise from heating up too late, even if it’s just that subsequent work cannot be completed on schedule.

How did the installer pressure test the heating circuits if the valves were closed?

So, the other valves were simply forgotten to be opened. This has now been taken care of, and the house is sweating on its own.
