ᐅ Handheld showerhead with strong water pressure from the nozzles?

Good day!

After 20 years, the Hansa handheld shower in my shower has finally given out; water is leaking from the seam between the two housing parts. I had to find out, however, that the Hansgrohe showerhead I quickly bought for 50 euros behaves just like I’ve often been annoyed to see in hotels — it delivers far too little pressure, and this applies to all three spray settings.

Does anyone happen to know of a handheld shower that delivers strong water pressure, like my previous one? One detail that’s also important, but rarely mentioned anywhere: I would like a threaded connection that rotates freely during normal use, so the hose doesn’t force the showerhead into a fixed angle. Hansa solved this back then by designing the thread so that when screwing on the hose, you push the thread in slightly to lock it, but otherwise it turns freely. Is something like this still available today?

Thank you!

Now the new handheld shower head has arrived, which was specifically advertised as having "more power than others." And sure enough: now there is proper pressure again. And it cost 12 EUR instead of 50 EUR, a pity about the money...

However, I still don’t understand why these shower heads are designed to deliver so little water, and what hotels find so great about that. You won’t actually save water this way, because usage time just increases. Overall, it stays the same—only people end up frustrated...

Of course, this saves hotels a lot of water. After all, the average guest showers for a period of time X.

But if less water comes out, the duration of the shower will be extended accordingly. I have my doubts whether this actually saves water.

Misconception.

As a hotel operator, I can assure you that this is not the case. The amount of water used decreases. Guests simply shower for the same amount of time. Very few shower longer because a) they don’t have the time, b) they are used to showering for a certain duration, and c) they manage well with the reduced water flow and still get clean.

Jo, it’s quite logical, as it saves a lot of water. However, it comes at the expense of comfort, which is why I don’t like those devices.

Another reason why these are so common is thanks to air source heat pumps. These are especially energy-intensive when producing hot water. So it’s best to use as little as possible...

Hello Matthias,
what is the name of your showerhead? I’ve been searching everywhere.
