Hello!

I removed a radiator. Unfortunately, the drain opening has a very unusual size: an end cap with a 1-inch (25mm) diameter is slightly too small. The next size, 1 1/4 inches (32mm), is already much too large.

I just can’t find the right size, and soon I will definitely have to heat again, otherwise the pipes might burst when temperatures drop below zero.

Blind caps are also available on Amazon in 3/4" size.

If 1 inch is too small, then 3/4 inch is definitely too small.

1. Take a caliper and measure the exact size.
2. If step 1 shows that you actually have a size no longer available in specialty stores, simply unscrew the small threaded adapter. There will surely be a standard thread underneath.

The white elbow fitting has an internal thread, and the other part is sealed with hemp fiber.
The elbow has pipe threads, for which there are cap screws available.

Thank you, I removed the threaded adapter and indeed found a 3/4 inch standard thread. Bought a valve, problem finally solved. Sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees. Great guy, cool community.
