chamäleon29 Dec 2021 19:37Hello,
Two basement-level windows still need to have masonry work done to install granite window sills. What is the correct procedure for this? I planned to set 5cm (2 inches) aerated concrete blocks in the mortar bed and then lay the granite window sill also in mortar with the proper outward slope. Or is this considered poor workmanship?
I also wonder what should be placed between the mortar bed and the extruded polystyrene (XPS) insulation? And is anything required between the frame extension at the bottom and the aerated concrete blocks?
I appreciate any advice.
