Hello everyone,

we bought new garden chairs (MWH Futosa garden reclining armchair (62 cm (24 inches), anthracite/silver)), which unfortunately were blown onto the terrace stones during strong wind and now have some unpleasant scratches (actually, it looks more like the surface has been rubbed off in some spots). Do you have any ideas on how to restore them?

Under the armrests, there is the marking PP.
In theory, ironing could work, but it’s not that simple. You really have to be careful not to make it look worse in the end.

Could you please share a picture?

It can also be helpful to watch YouTube videos, where scratches on vintage cars are often removed.

That seems harmless, I wanted to try it, thought it was rough and frayed.

Sometimes a permanent marker helps 😉
Put the marker color on your finger, add some saliva, and then rub the area.

In my assessment, the surface structure has been "sanded off" and this cannot be undone.

Melting it again definitely won’t improve anything.

I think this is one of those cases where you just have to say, "oh well... I'll leave it as is now."
