ᐅ EWE Wärme Plus Experiences

Hello everyone,

I would like to know if anyone in this forum has experience with "Wärme Plus" from the energy provider EWE.

I plan to have this installed through a heating engineering company. My heating installer explained the benefits to me (no maintenance costs, no chimney sweep fees, 24-hour emergency service, low initial investment costs, etc.). However, what puzzled me a bit was the statement that after 10 years of operation, I can either extend the contract for 5 years, purchase the heating system based on its residual value, or sign a new contract for a new heating system, meaning the heating system will be replaced every 10 years and the contract restarts from the beginning.

Maybe you have an opinion on this. A new heating system every 10 years sounds quite appealing.

Since this is such a "new product," there will probably be little practical experience available.

Every issue has two sides, or no medicine is without side effects. These are usually not clearly explained by the seller.

Yes, it is basically a personal lease with an insurance function and a long-term commitment to the provider. Certainly convenient.
A heating system’s main components should be usable for longer than 10 years.
