Hello,

I have a new faucet, but unfortunately, I can’t fully fit it into the sink hole.

Is there something I should have considered when purchasing it?

Only the connections need to go through the hole, right? The main body rests on the sink. Or is it not possible to go any further than shown in the picture?

Yes, that’s the problem; it can’t go any further than shown in the picture.

I think I have experienced this before.
If I remember correctly, the threaded rod has a slot at the bottom. It can be unscrewed from below using a screwdriver and then tightened again from underneath after inserting the faucet.

I removed the threaded rod, but unfortunately, it still doesn't fit through.

Let your husband handle it or the handsome neighbor...
