Hello, it’s actually quite simple. I would like to ask for your opinions on the floor plan. The intended use of the rooms should be clear from the labels. So far, we have only drawn the furniture offline to scale. I won’t write about our own ideas yet because I would like to hear unbiased opinions on how the floor plan comes across. Thank you!
About the occupants: 2 adults (current), 2 children (planned), >= 5 cats (current)
Note: The insulation is added to the exterior dimensions; the floor plan only shows the solid wall portion of the exterior walls.

Hello Chris,
The windows do not coordinate well.
Fourteen steps are not comfortable to walk on.
The children's rooms are difficult to furnish.
Wardrobe? Under the stairs?
Hallways seem too narrow to me.
Consider reversing the doors for Child 1 and the parents; otherwise, there is a lot of unused space behind the doors. Why do you need access from the office to the pantry? Mechanical room, laundry room, AND pantry? Combine the mechanical and laundry rooms, and you can eliminate the unnecessary door to the guest bathroom. Is that also intended to serve as a children's bathroom?
I don't like the roof pitch.
There are probably more issues...

Hello, thanks for the feedback. Briefly addressing your questions:
- There are actually 15 steps; the software calculates the ceiling strangely and "hides" one step. I designed the plan myself, but I have to add that the house builder’s plan also shows 15 steps.
- The wardrobe is planned under the stairs next to the office door, exactly.
- The utility room is a separate room because cats stay there with access to the outdoor enclosure. Cats are not supposed to be in the equipment/technical room. Of course, this is very specific and not something you could know without me mentioning it.
Thanks for the note about Child 1’s door—I had drawn it the other way around than I intended.

Where is south? Where are the large window areas? Don’t you have nice west-facing windows? There is a north arrow on the map, so the living room faces almost directly south. On the west side, there are trees very close to the house that are much taller than the house, so having too many windows there doesn’t make much sense. That’s why there is only one living space (child 1) on the west side, which also has a nice south-facing window.
