Hello dear forum members,

In the distant future, I am planning to build a single-family house and am already gathering information about the many aspects that need to be considered when building a house. I would like to draw some designs of my house myself, and I wanted to ask you what you think about commercial home design software, such as those from Concadus GmbH or Cadvilla?

Is it worth buying such software for around 70 euros (about $75) as a private builder to start planning and visualizing your own house, or is it a waste of money?

Of course, I understand that I can’t replace an architect with software, but you can still do the initial planning yourself, right?

Hello everyone,
I wanted to test the software "Mein Hausplaner" today and downloaded the file from several sources.
However, my antivirus/firewall repeatedly detects threats (malware, trojans) and immediately deletes the setup file.

Because of this, I am even more hesitant to make a purchase. Has anyone here bought and used the software?

Much more interesting than the software are your designs and what a beautiful house has ultimately been created from them.

@jeti79 ... You hesitate to make a purchase, but downloading from any source is fine with you? And you wonder why your antivirus software raises an alert? I am a bit speechless right now.

If the sources are Freeware.de and Chip.de, yes. I’m not going to spend money on it only to end up with ads and browser plugins cluttering my system.
