Hello everyone,
I am new here and hope to get some good advice for renovating my rental apartment. On the ground floor, I have a corner space measuring about 1.70m x 1.70m (5.6 ft x 5.6 ft) and 3.50m (11.5 ft) high. On one side, there is a glass entrance door with a narrow glass panel next to it at door height. Above that is a glass panel 1.70m (5.6 ft) wide and approximately 1.30m (4.3 ft) high, which is covered with a white film to darken it. That does not bother me. On the other side of this corner, there is a large glass panel 1.70m (5.6 ft) wide and about 2.20m (7.2 ft) high. Then comes the metal frame and another glass panel with the same covering as the one above the door. All the glass panels are set in a metal frame and could be covered with films. However, I want to cover the side that does not contain a door so that it looks like a wall. I do not want to attach anything to it but might place a cabinet in front of it.

Since it is a rental and I cannot drill into it, I am looking for a lightweight material that can be glued on firmly and possibly painted or wallpapered. The adhesive should also be removable when I move out, and I hope you have some recommendations for me.

Thank you in advance.

Please check with your local hardware store. There are plenty of self-adhesive films available that you can then wallpaper over. These can also be removed later without leaving any residue.
