I have a double garage, and a roof terrace is planned on top of it. Building permit / planning permission and structural calculations are already approved.
The challenge is the central dividing beam (parapet wall of each individual garage). I want the terrace (covering both garages) to be flush. That means the WPC or terrace tiles must be installed over the central beam. (see also https://www.hausbau-forum.de/threads/fertiggarage-als-dachterrasse-aufbau-belag-mit-wpc.39159/)
I prefer 2cm (0.8 inches) porcelain stoneware tiles for the terrace, as it faces south.
Because of the central beam, I’m considering WPC decking, as it is best suited when combined with an understructure.
Today I saw a picture of Terra Level tile supports from a Bauhaus brochure. According to the promotional video, these tile supports are good for installing terrace tiles on top.
What do you think of this solution? Will porcelain stoneware hold up on it? Or should I just buy concrete slabs anyway?
Thank you for your responses.
