ᐅ Working on the construction site on Sundays?

Every Sunday, I find myself wondering what kind of construction work is allowed or possible on Sundays and public holidays.

Usually, there isn’t much time during the week, so currently I’m working on the house every Sunday.

All the windows are installed, but we still have two construction doors that don’t provide good sound insulation.

For example, today I would need to clean up the debris from plastering the ceiling and vacuum the loose insulation fibers between the rafters.
My wife says, “That’s really not acceptable.”

What do you think? What kind of work have you done on Sundays?

Thanks.

But when he started compacting the driveway around 12:30 p.m., I had to step in.
Our then one-year-old child couldn’t sleep and just kept crying... no surprise given the noise...

The baby needs to nap every day at 12:30 p.m., not only on holidays. So the excuse is rather weak. We also have a one-year-old, and our only true next-door neighbor building about 10 meters (33 feet) away gets noisy during the week too. As if anyone cares about a lunch break. Either the child sleeps through it or tough luck.

@ And I’m not exaggerating. Actually, the violations here are even more serious.

On Sundays, operating heavy machinery is not allowed and this must be respected. If not, the local regulatory office or police should be contacted.

We are very fortunate not to have any immediate neighbors. The closest ones are a few hundred meters (yards) away, with a small forest in between. We don’t intentionally make a lot of noise on Sundays, but we don’t limit ourselves much either. No one hears us anyway except ourselves. However, I believe it is important not to disturb the neighbors!
