What Do You Like Most? Why? Side driveway to garage, direct access from garage to house, separate apartment concept, open ground floor design, upper floor is perfect in our opinion, gallery
What Do You Like Least? Why? Living/dining area is somewhat too large (wife worries it may be hard to arrange cozily), bedroom window position in the separate apartment is tricky, (north entrance → long access route for guests)

I once visited a villa where the dining and living areas were open up to the roof ridge. On the upper floor, there was a library gallery. This feeling of spaciousness creates a real wow effect.
Unfortunately, this is a scale that most people cannot build.
Many homeowners have wishes that cannot be perfectly realized given the existing conditions. You have to find a balance.

As I mentioned earlier, try arranging dining and cooking areas in a clockwise flow.
There is far too little information for me to create a sketch.
I said it several times: elevation details!
Honestly, considering the rear windows of the secondary unit as well, a sketch doesn’t really make sense without those.

We have decided not to build a granny flat / accessory dwelling unit, as this causes too many restrictions and we cannot accommodate all the desired features.
Thank you very much so far; your well-founded criticism has prompted us to rethink, and we are now glad to have made this decision.

The design wasn’t optimized yet, but there is potential to improve it.
