What Do You Like Most? Why? Side driveway to garage, direct access from garage to house, separate apartment concept, open ground floor design, upper floor is perfect in our opinion, gallery
What Do You Like Least? Why? Living/dining area is somewhat too large (wife worries it may be hard to arrange cozily), bedroom window position in the separate apartment is tricky, (north entrance → long access route for guests)

You shouldn’t arbitrarily tear apart a good design.
I would add another window in the living room on the west side and use the corner of the walk-in closet to create a laundry chute accessible from the hallway. Organize the rest on the ground floor and basement accordingly.

I don’t understand the laundry chute part. We had planned it to go from the bathroom on the upper floor and ground floor down to the utility room in the basement.
