Hello everyone,
We are about to buy a house. The property was built in 1988, the owner moved out 14 years ago, and it was last rented out. Accordingly, it shows its age 😎.
The wooden windows fit the overall look of the house, so plastic windows are out of the question.
Now to my questions:
1. How much does it typically cost to have a professional readjust the windows?
2. How often do wooden windows need to be repainted?
3. Is it easy to repaint wooden windows yourself, or does it tend to look a bit like a "DIY fail"?
4. Do you always have to sand them down before painting?
5. If, after inspection by a professional, all the windows need to be replaced, what would the approximate cost be? We are talking about
3 large patio doors/windows
11 standard windows
Can someone help me out?
Thanks in advance!!!
