I would have liked to have the stairs in a gray tone as well. However, I wonder if it would clash with the floor. Otherwise, I would have preferred the very left one the most.

I really like tiles, at least in the hallway. ;-)
But yes: it’s your choice. I’m just assuming that tiles won’t cause any issues with floor height (they will probably be a few millimeters higher than vinyl? Has it been clarified whether there will be height differences at the transitions to vinyl?) and would therefore simply go with whatever you like best. :-)
