We want to buy a wooden house that was built in 2016.
The house is already well insulated. However, there are no bricks on the outside, only cladding.
We don’t like the cladding; it looks unattractive.
Is it possible to install exterior brickwork on the outer walls? What are the advantages and disadvantages?
Thank you very much.

If German is not your native language, that’s not a problem. It’s understandable that by “only facade” you probably meant “plaster.”
There are two types of bricks used for the wall surface. Facing bricks as an outer layer are probably not an option here. However, they also come as “brick slips.” These are “cut into finger-thick slices.” Instead of being laid like bricks, they are basically “glued” to the wall like tiles. Visually, you cannot tell the difference on the wall surface. The costs are also lower, but in my opinion, they still do not justify the increase in property value, especially if the house is only about a year old.
A plastered wall is a suitable substrate only if there is a normally thick plaster layer on a solid wall. If the plaster is just a thin coating over insulation, it is probably not that suitable.
To be honest, I would probably keep looking until I find a house I like better. Or is everything else really perfect?
