Hello,
we are considering installing wood-look tiles in our house (which is quite modern and open). I think these tiles, when well made, look really nice. I am just a bit skeptical whether I will still like them in a few years. Does anyone know a good manufacturer of wood-look tiles?

Hello Teyla,
which Marazzi tiles are these?
The grout color doesn’t work at all for wood-look tiles. It might be acceptable under the radiator, but for nice wood-look tiles, the grout color should be chosen as close as possible to the tile shade, and the grout lines should be kept as thin as possible! This makes a huge difference in the overall appearance.

The box only says Marazzi K17S; I don’t have a more specific description. The size is 15x90cm (6x35 inches).
The grout color definitely shouldn’t be the same as in the rest of the house, but since I’m not familiar with this, it’s hard for me to imagine which grout color would be best for a parquet effect. Maybe brown or beige?
We’ll leave it as is under the heater for now; it’s being installed today and is so large that you can hardly see the grout lines anyway. I’ve already contacted the tiler to make sure a different grout color is used in the rest of the house, but I’m still unsure which one exactly.

I just did a bit of research and basically only found what has already been mentioned here. The grout color should be as close as possible to the tile color so that the grout visually recedes into the background.
Best regards

During the tile selection process, we compared the tiles with samples of grout colors to see which matched best with the tiles. It is important to use a grout color that is similar to the tile color.
The grout lines are actually too wide.
I created a crop from two pictures we currently have available and attached it here.
