Hello,
we are considering installing wood-look tiles in our house (which is quite modern and open). I think these tiles, when well made, look really nice. I am just a bit skeptical whether I will still like them in a few years. Does anyone know a good manufacturer of wood-look tiles?

Oh, there are quite a few people who like wood-look tiles... I believe a minimum grout joint is also needed because of the underfloor heating. I find neutral wood-look tiles very attractive. I can definitely imagine them working well in our home in the long run. But I didn’t expect them to be so expensive—120€/sqm (approximately $120/sq ft)... Tiles always replicate something, so I can imagine this trend will continue.
There are also more affordable wood-look tiles. Once installed, I find our tiles in the hallway and kitchen, costing less than 35€/m² (about $35/sq ft) after discounts, to be more attractive than the more expensive wood-look tiles in the living room. Our tiler was particularly proud of these tiles and regularly asked if he could visit new homeowners to show them the tiles.
