Good evening,

a quick question for those interested. I had a Wolf "CWL-2-225 4/0 L" (according to the nameplate) installed.

Wall-mounted heating system in the basement with pipes and outlets

The documentation shows the following:

Ventilation unit with 8 connections, two views: left 4/0 L, right 4/0 R

Am I missing something, or should I promptly inform the general contractor? 😉

Oh man… Nothing surprises me anymore in construction. A few weeks ago, the two distribution boxes for the mechanical ventilation system were installed on my basement ceiling. After that, unfortunately, the basement window wouldn’t open anymore because the boxes are quite large. They wanted to remove the basement window and reinstall it one centimeter (0.4 inch) lower, but what do I see today? A windowsill has been installed ‍♂️
So it has to be removed first before the window can be taken out.
By now, I don’t even react immediately to such things anymore. Instead, I wait until the next progress payment is due, withhold double the amount, and suddenly things start moving. The advantage is that the money earns interest longer in the savings account, and I only have to write one long email instead of five short ones.

I believe replacing the device should be the least of the problems (even though I waited exactly 1 year for my [I]system). A bigger issue is probably that there is not enough distance between the exhaust air and the outdoor air. 🙄 [/]

This is installed on the exterior. I have seen it many times, and two acquaintances have been using it successfully for years.

The general contractor has confirmed the "problem" and will fix it. When I asked if it would be a R device now: No.

Well, then I am curious. I have no desire for a pipe-juggling, makeshift disaster...
