fastmanHello,
Unfortunately, I only thought about installing reed switches in my windows after they were already fitted. Now my windows are installed, but without reed switches.
In a hurry, I ordered a sample of the Winkhaus VS.BK.06 with the corner deflector E1.VS.KG.F and the center locks MK.VS.150.KG and MK.VS.250.KG. I thought it wouldn’t be too difficult to install it myself—just replace one fitting and screw the sensor on.
For the tilt and turn sensor VS.BK.06, it needs to be mounted at the bottom of the window so it can also detect the tilt position. From what I understand about my windows, which also have Winkhaus fittings, I cannot use the corner deflector because the mushroom head goes into the security strike plate there. The center locks I ordered also look different from the ones installed in the window. The installed one is noticeably longer and still has a mushroom head.
My idea was to simply connect the new center lock to the one already mounted at the back. However, this one lacks the "comb," which is needed to transmit the window’s control to the lock.
Has anyone here installed these fittings before and can help me with my windows?
