ᐅ Windows in New Construction: Triple Glazing with a Green Tint?

WildThingHello dear forum members,
I have a question for all home builders!
We have had our windows installed for a few days now and were quite excited. Unfortunately, we are a bit disappointed because the window panes have a noticeable green tint. We never discussed the glass with the window installer, as it never occurred to us that window glass might not be completely clear.
Apparently, we received some kind of "insulated glass" with a coating. We really don’t like the green tint; it makes everything look dull and even makes us look a bit "sick" ourselves... :-( It feels like we have the glass from a light sunglasses lens as a window, instead of “real” windows!
How is it with your windows?
Is it normal for triple glazing to have some kind of color tint?
Do you think it only bothers us now and that once the interior is painted white, it won’t be so noticeable anymore?
Many sunny greetings!

Hmm... We have now spoken with many people. Some say it’s just regular glass, but depending on the manufacturer and production process, it contains more iron oxide, which makes the panes appear greenish.
The offer doesn’t specify anything about the glass except that it is triple-glazed with a warm edge spacer (and the U-value). We have also already talked to the window installer, and he said he has always used this glass and has never received any complaints so far.
Do your windows also have this kind of reflection on the outside?
And did you specifically order “clear glass”?

Our windows are triple-glazed as well, but they don’t have any color tint at all.
As you can see in my avatar, they do have a certain reflective effect from the outside, but I don’t find that bothersome...

Hmm. Well, I also find it very strange...
Thursday will be interesting; the window fabricator and the window supplier are coming to inspect the windows. Let’s see what comes out of that...
I’m not sure if we just received a bad batch, if this is normal for triple glazing, or if the glass quality is simply that inconsistent in general...
