Hello!
We are currently building a house in the Swabian architectural style.
This style includes window shutters.
Now we are deciding on the color of the shutters. We would like to choose a color that is less common. Red or green is considered "standard."
We would like to have blue shutters, but blue is generally a cooler color.
How can we design the facade together with blue window shutters so that it doesn’t look too cold?
For example, we were thinking of cobalt blue or steel blue (RAL 5013 / RAL 5011).
If we choose a facade color with beige or brown tones, it might appear a bit "warmer"...
Do you possibly have pictures of houses with similar color schemes?

That is also correct. In the north, it is often done on the masonry. In the south, it is usually done on the window frame.

And by the way, it looks great!!!

How do shutters work exactly? Do you have to open every window each evening and close the shutters by hand?

Best regards

Crank from the inside, otherwise open the window.

Exactly, the shutters can be opened and closed from the inside using a crank. You could also control them electrically (but we don’t have that).
