Hello!
We are currently building a house in the Swabian architectural style.
This style includes window shutters.
Now we are deciding on the color of the shutters. We would like to choose a color that is less common. Red or green is considered "standard."
We would like to have blue shutters, but blue is generally a cooler color.
How can we design the facade together with blue window shutters so that it doesn’t look too cold?
For example, we were thinking of cobalt blue or steel blue (RAL 5013 / RAL 5011).
If we choose a facade color with beige or brown tones, it might appear a bit "warmer"...
Do you possibly have pictures of houses with similar color schemes?

That sounds awesome..... Unfortunately, the clay roof tiles were no longer within our budget..... our shutters will be gray-green RAL 7009. I’m really looking forward to them, we’ll be the only ones around with that color....
Everything around us is white, windows gray, external venetian blinds.
What exactly is Swabian style?

Unfortunately, I suspect that with the outrageous construction costs these days, the beavertail tiles (segment cut with rounded edges) won’t make it onto the roof... and I’ll have to settle for aluminum exterior window sills instead of the concrete version. By now, I would already be happy just to get my casement windows and shutters.
The house attached is built in a similar style – the old farmhouse of my grandparents that still stands there now. The new build is supposed to be quite similar overall, especially since the narrow lot really only allows for this kind of floor plan.
