ᐅ Windows in the attic – is it due to better insulation in new constructions?

Tx-25Hello,
I am currently in contact with our roofer. He says that no window is necessary in an insulated but unoccupied attic. We have no windows in the side gables, and according to the roofer’s plan, there will also be no window in the roof. We do not have a chimney that might require an escape window.
The roof is insulated with 80mm (3 inches) wooden panels and insulated on the inside with mineral wool and a vapor barrier. A photovoltaic system will be installed on the roof.
The rest of the house insulation meets KfW 40 standards. The living areas will be ventilated with a central ventilation system. I am a bit concerned that this setup might make the attic too airtight, potentially leading to mold or other problems.
I understand that I wouldn’t use a roof window for daily ventilation anyway, since I would have to fold down the attic ladder and remember to open the window each time. Still, I don’t feel comfortable having no window in the attic.
What are your thoughts on this?

Good suggestion, which I have also considered. I will see if anything can still be done. My "problem" is that we already have the ceiling on the ground floor in place and the ventilation ducts are already installed. Maybe something can still be added there. Originally, the attic was not planned for this.
I don’t ventilate up there very often either. But it is bright with a window. And when I look outside up there, I have a view over the entire Kiel Bay and can see container ships on the horizon as well as the wind turbines in Denmark, which was and still is worth 800,- to me.
