My new windows have a frame that is not sloped, meaning it is at a 90-degree angle, so rainwater collects on it. When I open the window from the inside, a trickle runs onto the floor. Is there a DIN standard for frames?

Simple answer: Yes, there are standards for frames. Among other things, it must be ensured that water can drain freely. For this purpose, there are drainage slots directly behind the frame. Water must enter the frame and then be directed back outside onto the windowsill.

Please take some photos of the frame. From the outside and with the window open, so it might be possible to see the drainage slots. Perhaps they were "forgotten" (material defect) or are clogged or something else.

Thank you very much in advance. Attached are photos, but I'm not exactly sure what I should be photographing.
  1. Photo: door opened from the inside
  2. Photo: door from below
  3. Photo: door from below
  4. Photo: frame
  5. and 6th photo: frame from the outside
