Hello forum,

We are currently building a new house through a developer.
Now that the windows have been installed, we have noticed that they are scratched all around. These are fine scratches that are mainly visible when looking from an angle and with light reflection. Our windows in our rented apartment do not look like this even after 20 years.
There are also similar scratches around the door’s fingerprint scanner module. I have already reported this, and the module will be replaced. The scratches around it are supposed to be removed with a cleaner (the representative from the window manufacturer said they have a product that makes them invisible afterward). However, I find it hard to believe this will work. Of course, I will let them try first, but I would like to know here in the forum whether I am just being too picky and if this is normal, or if this is really unacceptable. I don’t want to inspect everything with a magnifying glass, but after the issue with the door, I have become more attentive.

What do you think? I am attaching some pictures (please zoom in a little if necessary to see the details. It’s difficult to capture these clearly).

Many thanks and best regards

Below your post, there is this recent contribution...

So you could have saved yourself the question

Unless you are actually a developer, then it’s none of your business what kind of damage there is to the house, since the client is the company.

Maybe I didn’t express myself clearly. We are having the house built through Town & Country. They will be my main point of contact as the client.
I will take a look at the other post. I still have some pictures here. Maybe then it will be easier to say more.

Best regards
