Hello everyone,
I have a somewhat more specific question that came up regarding my Malm furniture: Why do Malm pieces sometimes feel wobbly even though they appear stable and solid? Especially with the drawers, you can sometimes feel a slight sway or give, even when everything has been assembled correctly. Are there known weak points or common issues that cause this wobbling effect? I am particularly interested in whether this is related to the design, the materials, or normal wear and tear over time.
Perhaps someone here has experience with Malm furniture facing this issue or knows how to fix it permanently. Thanks in advance for any input!

the connections on the drawer slides become looseI know this well; it bothered me quite a bit back then. For me, regularly checking the screws helped, but it’s frustrating when you’ve done all the work properly and still have this wobbling. Does anyone have experience with reinforcements that solve this problem long-term?
Oh yes, the topic of wobbling with Malm furniture! 🙂 I had that problem too, and what helped me was simply removing all the drawers one by one and checking the fasteners! It’s amazing how small screws can affect such a large piece of furniture. Just be brave, everyone, you can handle this! 🙂

After tightening them, it was sturdier than new – such a small detail with a big effect! Sometimes it's these unassuming little helpers that make all the difference. :-)
