Hello! Last week, we visited a retailer and looked at the Parador Modular One flooring. It sounds interesting: plasticizer-free; lifetime warranty; integrated cork underlay for sound insulation.
Who has experience with it? During installation? In daily use; cleaning; maintenance; durability?

In about two weeks, we will be installing approximately 120 sqm (1,292 sq ft) of natural oak flooring in our new build.
How have you handled the transition and finishing profiles? Did you prefer the simpler adhesive type or the ones that are screwed directly into the screed?
Also, did you transfer the screed expansion joints in the floor to each room using a profile, or did you leave them out?
Thanks for your feedback. Hi, I’m interested in hearing about your experiences with this flooring. We are planning to install it as well, but have read quite a few negative comments such as:
- Coating peeling off
- Generally fragile if something is dropped on it
- Still requires impact sound insulation
We are undecided between Modular One or a more affordable parquet flooring around 35-40€.
Real user experiences are very important to us. Thanks in advance. Also, how does it perform with underfloor heating? Is it unproblematic when installed as a floating floor with impact sound insulation?
Thanks and best regards,
Marco

Marco We have it installed throughout the entire house and are already very satisfied with it in the children’s and bedrooms. It’s easy to maintain and looks stylish (Natural Pure Oak).
In hindsight, after living here for a year with two small children, we would probably choose tiles for the dining and living areas if we had to make the decision again. We have already noticed some deep scratches from moving chairs. However, this is not a specific issue with Modular One, but rather a general concern.
Thanks. Are there any other experiences?
As an alternative to Modular One, Parador directly recommended the BASIC 3.0 vinyl flooring to me. I have a sample plank here. Very high quality, good texture, almost like parquet. The plank thickness of 9.4mm (0.37 inches) also seems good.

But the Parador is really junk, as many people have already said here.Have you had personal experience with it, or is that just hearsay from this forum? There are also several people here who speak very positively about Modular. We have also chosen the Modular One, and I will report on how it performs.
