Hello! Last week, we visited a retailer and looked at the Parador Modular One flooring. It sounds interesting: plasticizer-free; lifetime warranty; integrated cork underlay for sound insulation.
Who has experience with it? During installation? In daily use; cleaning; maintenance; durability?

Wolfgang 40426 Mar 2020 11:14Does anyone have experience with floating floor installation?
In our case, the floor is partially not fully resting on the screed, and you can hear this when walking on it!
Does this settle over time, or will it remain like this? We have been living here for 2 months now.
Installation details:
The screed is level (any hollows were ground down, or there were hardly any)
The floor is level (max. 2-3mm height differences over a 3m (10 feet) straightedge, which complies with the standards) – according to the instructions, 3mm (0.12 inches) over 1m (3.3 feet) is allowed
Flooring: Parador Modular One plank
Construction: screed – PE foil – Parador Modular One
All edge gaps were maintained.
Residual moisture measurement was fine!
At the moment, we are quite disappointed, even though the floor looks very aesthetic and feels great.
Has anyone had similar experiences, or does this improve over time?
Thanks in advance for the information!

Your situation will not change anymore. You possibly did not gather enough information or were given incorrect advice.
The most important aspect of floor construction is impact sound insulation. I know that, in theory, this is included in the floor in the form of cork. You have noticed yourself that this is not sufficient.
A much better construction method would have been to use impact sound insulation instead of the polyethylene (PE) film. We installed the thickest version: Parador Akustik Protect 300, so nothing "moves." However, even we notice at the edges and some transitions that the floor does not lie completely flat. The installation of the roll was done carelessly.
Solution for you:
Remove the floor again and install impact sound insulation instead of the PE film underneath. It’s unfortunate, but the only solution.

Wolfgang 40426 Mar 2020 15:55Hello,
Thank you for the quick response. I was almost expecting such an answer.
However, it is still quite frustrating that in all 3 installation videos, they use a 0.2mm (0.008 inch) PE film (also in the Parador video). According to the installation instructions, this is the standard recommendation, and the Acoustic Protect layer is optional.
Unfortunately, I will probably have to remove everything again.
This thread is also useful for other users.
In summary: either install with Acoustic Protect or, for rooms smaller than 16 m² (172 sq ft), bonding is also possible (according to Parador phone support)

Steffen10113 Apr 2020 23:01Hello everyone,
We have now installed our Parador flooring in the apartment as well and have encountered the same problem. Despite using cork underlay for impact sound insulation, there is still some knocking noise because the floor is not completely lying flat.
@Wolfgang: Did using an impact sound underlay solve your problem? If so, which one did you use? What kind of noises did you have?
Visually, the floor looks really nice. Now we just need to get the issue under control...
Best regards and happy Easter.
PS: I will share pictures once everything is finished.

Wolfgang 40414 Apr 2020 06:56Hello Steffen,
So far, I haven’t done anything yet. But if I take the floor up again, I will most likely glue it right away.
The tapping sound eases a bit over time, but unfortunately, you can still hear it!
Best regards, Wolfgang 404

goalkeeper28 Apr 2020 08:39In about two weeks, we will be installing approximately 120 sqm (1,290 sq ft) of natural oak flooring in our new build.
How have you handled the transition and edge profiles? Did you prefer the simple adhesive type or the ones screwed into the screed?
Also, did you transfer the screed expansion joints on the floor into each room using a profile or not?
Thanks for your feedback.
